Classroom to Career is a program designed to help build a bridge between business and educators.  Through attending sessions, hearing from keynote speakers, touring area business and industry partners, and working collaboratively, teachers will continue to develop their professional practice in an effort to increase student workplace readiness. The course will be grounded in the 21st century skills outlined in the Iowa Core, specifically employability skills.  This program will encourage and enhance business to education partnerships.  This program is appropriate for all TK-12 certified staff and administrators.

One licensure renewal credit is available through Dordt University.

"Teachers can live in their own bubble of school and school-related activities. By participating in Classroom to Career, I was able to get out into the community and learn about my community.
I have a new appreciation for the families that support our school and send their children here, as well as visualize places where I can see my students working in the future."

"I became aware of many more job opportunities in our community and the skills needed to do these jobs. I can better educate and inform my students after attending Classroom to Career."

"I have developed tremendously valuable business partnerships that I would have never otherwise have had the chance to create."

Applications will be accepted through April 12, 2024.
