James and the Giant Peach is the official summer musical presentation from Sioux Center Arts featured as part of Summer Celebration. It’s a stage musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book, telling the story of James — a young orphan whose world changes when a mysterious magic potion causes a barren peach to grow into a giant fruit and launches him into an unforgettable adventure with new insect friends.

Performances of James and the Giant Peach take place throughout Summer Celebration at the Te Paske Theatre (Sioux Center Middle School). Check the full Summer Celebration schedule for showtimes, including evening and afternoon performances across June 3–6.

Join us for the 37th Annual Classic Cruiser’s Car Show, hosted by the Sioux Center Classic Cruisers Car Club! This long-standing Summer Celebration tradition brings together an impressive lineup of classic, vintage, and custom vehicles in a relaxed “show & shine” format.

Car enthusiasts and families alike are invited to stroll through Central Park, visit with car owners, and admire beautifully restored and uniquely customized vehicles.

Event highlights include:

• Show & Shine format (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
• A wide variety of classic and specialty vehicles
• Goodie bags for the first 65 registered entries
• A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of Sioux Center

Grab your paddle and join the fun at the Summer Celebration Pickleball Tournament! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just learning the game, all ages and experience levels are welcome for a morning of friendly competition and community fun. Teams of two can compete for just $30 per team. The tournament begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 6 at the All Seasons Center. Summer Celebration is Sioux Center's annual kickoff to summer, bringing together residents and visitors for a weekend of family-friendly activities, entertainment, food, community traditions, and hometown fun.
